Richard Blanchar, MD is the Medical Director for Bayview General Medicine, in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Florida. He is well known and well respected in the community and was named Official Town Physician In 2003 & 2004.
Dr. Blanchar received a proclamation from the Town of Lauderdale By The Sea for his generosity, his humanitarian pursuits in medicine, and endless commitment to the citizens and visitors of the Town.
Dr. Richard Blanchar founded Bayview General Medicine in December of l989. In the early 2000’s Dr. Blanchar began developing the cosmetic side of the practice and has become a nationally recognized presence serving on advisory panels with doctors such as Corey Moss, Neil Sadicke, Jean and Alistair Carruthers and others. Dr. Blanchar utilizes all laser techniques and performs BOTOX®, JUVEDERM®, PREVELLE® Silk, RESTYLANE®, and Sculptra®
Injectables.

Education:
In 1978, Dr. Blanchar graduated PHI BETA KAPPA from the University of Florida, at Gainesville with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with high honors. He completed his bachelor’s degree within three years. Dr. Blanchar received his medical degree from the College of Medicine at the University of South Florida, Tampa in 1982 after participating in a three-year accelerated program. Dr. Blanchar completed his first year residency in internal medicine with emphasis on Emergency medical care. Subsequently, he has served as an Emergency Care physician at several Florida hospitals. In addition, Physician are required to participate in at least 30 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) classes, Dr. Blanchar routinely completes over 120 hours of medical education each year and continues to pursue excellence in medical care and cosmetic medicine.
